WED JULY, 6
NEW ORLEANS, LA
12pm: Woke Up, India House Hostel
1pm: Walked to Sacred Grinds
Nothing makes you work harder than sitting outside a graveyard and knowing you'll be in the ground someday.
2pm - 7pm: Worked on Blog
I made a subscription page
. It only contains the essentials so the reader's eyes are drawn to the "Enter Email" subscription box.
7pm: Walked Back to India House Hostel
8pm - 9:30pm: Ate & Did Work on Blog at Burger King
I bought the bacon cheeseburger deluxe, but I only got one piece of bacon! When I complained to the vegan at the hostel she said they did me a favor.
While I ate, the cashier kept yelling to the cook, "Bitches get stitches. Bitches get put in ditches."
10:30pm - 12am: Drank at Beer Garden
I got into a serious conversation about death with Mo the free spirited vegan. She said that if she died tomorrow she could find peace knowing she did her best. I would be like, "WTF God? I still had so much good I wanted to do in the world!"
I believe if I live long enough to become successful then I'll attribute a lot of that success to God, but if I die young then I believe there is a lot more randomness at play because how can a higher being let someone like me die before I can make my impact on the world.
That's why when I blow a stop sign and someone screams, "You're going to get us all killed!" I yell back, "I can't die! I'm destined for greatness, bitches!"
12am - 5am: Socialized and Watched the Movie Do Over at the India House Hostel
Got into another India House Hostel Exclusive Political Debate. Afterwards, Jack Kerouac turned out to be right after a good ol' google search (about a teensy tiny thing), and so I jokingly pulled him aside and said, "You were right about that thing, but I won't admit it in front of the ladies!"
