Spent too much time trying to figure out how to embed yesterday's Prince video into blog post.

A new Englishmen joined our pack. He will be starting London Studio for Acting in the Fall. I told him I fully expect a role in one of his future films so expect that to come out sometime in 2025.

He told us he did a lot of sleeping in state parks and hitching rides with people he met. He attempted to use a free couch surfing website, but bailed on that idea after a host texted him, "Gay sex is not mandatory, but would be fun."

10:30pm: Drank on French Street with the English

We went to three different bars. While walking to and from, one of the Englishman told me Americans are less polite, for example, he said that his host family took a piece of pie before offering to him. I agreed that was messed up, but then he said, "Well they did offer, but they didn't insist." I said "Oh, okay", then he said, "Well they did insist, but they should have said they were absolutely full while hanging the pie over a trash can."

We all go through that dance of offering, denying, insisting, and then accepting. Another custom he mentioned is that you're not suppose to drink more than your host. Their politeness extended into real life. I had bought them drinks the previous night without asking if they wanted because I knew they'd say no. They then went to buy me a drink tonight. I said no, but then they insisted.

1:30am: Trolley Back to Hostel
