MON JULY, 11
HRS WORKED: 3
10:15am: Woke Up After 6.5 Hrs Sleep, Pilgrim House Hostel
10:30am - 1pm: Worked on Blog
I agreed to go with Rains to Graceland, but I needed to get my daily blog post done first.
1pm: Drove to Taco Bell
I finished editing the blog post while Rains drove. He's never been to Taco Bell so we had to go.
1:30pm - 3pm: Toured Elvis Presley's Graceland
The "King of Rock n Roll" had a boyish spirit. He loved his toys and friends. It was his sense of adventure that came through his music.
During the tour you get to see how beautiful his home was and listen to how great the man was, but yet he died of an overdose. It goes to show that even those who have it all can still be prisoners of their mind.
4pm: Walked to Where MLK was Shot
Elvis died at 42 and MLK was murdered at 39. It's amazing how much they achieved in such a short life.
What would the world be like if they lived longer? Overall - less talk, more motion.
5pm - 8pm: Listened to Live Band Outside
The band asked people to raise their hand who were not from Memphis. Pretty much everyone raised their hand. He asked everyone to come and say where they were from. After they said their name, he directed them to put money in the tip jar. Clever.
8:30pm - 9:30pm: Nap at Pilgrim Hostel House
I only wanted to nap for 20 minutes, but my phone died so the alarm didn't go off. If you sleep more than 45 minutes you enter into REM sleep, which will mess with your nighttime sleep cycle.
10pm - 11:30pm: Ate & Drank Water, Celtic Crossing Irish Pub
12pm: Chess then Checkers
