10pm - 11pm: Blog Work
11pm: Ate Pita Sandwich & Watched RNC Convention
If you want a boost in self-esteem put on the Republican National Convention. After listening to these guys you can't help but think, "Wow if they can be successful than so can I."
The theme of Day 1 was to Make America Safe Again. That makes no damn sense. The statistic they kept citing was that Americans don't "feel" safe. Just because you don't feel safe doesn't mean you aren't safe. According to the F.B.I, violent crime is at an all time low in the United States.
1am - 3am: Blog Work
3am: Read Smarter, Faster, Better
In chapter 1 the book says not to tell kids they're "smart" after they do something well, but to say they're "hard working". You want kids to internalize a sense of control. Kids see "smart" as innate whereas "hard working" as a skill. People with a higher internal locus of control
have a higher self-esteem.
