THU JULY, 7
NEW ORLEANS, LA
11am: Woke Up, India House Hostel
12:30pm: Walked to Monkey Coffee
1pm - 6:30pm: Worked on Blog
I shortened the load time for the blog by breaking down the number of posts shown on the home page and then adding "previous" and "next" buttons so you can search through the other posts.
7pm: Ate Smothered Chicken & Rice then Worked on Blog
7:30pm: Alcohol Run, Work Out, Shower
We bought New Amsterdam vodka. The plan was to go hard tonight because it was my last night in NOLA.
8:30pm - 10:30pm: Pregamed at India House Hostel
Mo the Vegan brought me back my favorite NOLA food - jambalaya!
Chris went up to random groups in the hostel and asked if they wanted to join us. Leor and I admired his friendliness. I have a higher wall when it comes to letting people in. One of my big takeaways from my time in New Orleans is that life is more fun when you're friendly.
10:30pm: Streetcar to Bourbon Street
I love making people laugh. I must have been on my game with the guy next to me, but then he opened his backpack and asked if I wanted a hit from his tank of "laughing gas".
11pm - 12am: Danced at Bourbon Street Bars & Met Up with Two College Friends Visiting
As we walked down the street, people started throwing beads at us from the balconies. The fat guy in the group flashed his nipples. He got beads. I did the same. I did not get beads.
As we walked into the first bar, a big black woman whipped out a boob for us. The fat guy gave her the beads and then did a split on the dance floor.
12am - 1am: Drank at Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop
As I looked around the bar it was awesome to see so many friends - old and new. Chris started chanting Rally with Galli
While walking to the next bar I heard a voice yell out, "Anthony?!" I turned around to see Cathy, a family friend! We took a few drunk pics with Irish Jane and then proceeded to Frenchman.
1:30am - 2:30am: Dance & Drank at Spotted Cat Music Club
Australian twins were not open to a threesome, but they said that as Australians they are more open to sex in general. The men moved closer.
3:30am: Ate beignet at Famous Cafe Du Monde
Mo the Vegan said "It's all about confidence". I don't remember in regards to what, but I said that confidence is not something you can fabricate by sitting in front of the computer chanting to yourself, "I'm confident! I'm confident! I'm confident!"
It's a matter of going out into the world and putting yourself in uncomfortable situations, for example, Mo's sandle strap broke off and so I found myself walking through the streets of New Orleans with a shoe on my left foot and barefoot on my right.
